Archery is a healthy activity which almost everyone can enjoy. We offer two great options for people new to the sport. The minimum age limit for either is ten.
Anyone wishing to join the club must complete a “Beginners Course”, which takes one full day and costs £60 for Juniors (people under 18 ) or £70 for adults including all equipment. The course includes:
a detailed safety briefing;
introduction to technique;
a number of three arrow “ends” shot under supervision at short range;
an introduction to scoring;
a mini competition at slightly longer range;
a general introduction to archery as a hobby, to our club and to alternative archery disciplines.
At the end of the course members receive a certificate which allows them to join a club and a sheet of useful information for taking things to the next step.
The dates for have a goes and beginner courses will be published to those who have registered and will be included in the shooting schedule.
